Fiori session time out

Hi Team,

 

We configured SAML in our Landscape so we are using SAML as login screen to Fiori Launchpad.Everything looks OK till here.

 

We are seeing few issues when there is a session time out.

 

 

Process 1: Here we don't have any issue

 

Step 1: Logged in to Fiori Launchpad

Step 2: Cleared cookies and history

Step 3: When user performs any action in Launchpad it defaults takes us to SAML login screen and it's the default behavior. It is working as expected.

 

 

Process 2: Here we have an issue

 

Step 1: Logged in to Fiori Launchpad

Step 2: Cleared cookies and history

Step 3: Left the screen for more than an hour without any user action on Launchpad

 

Instead default taking us to SAML Login Screen it is rerouting us to old Fiori Flower Launchpad Screen.

 

Please provide if there is any configuration where we can redirect the URL for session time out or any provide us your suggestions.

Fiori Launchpad license

Hi

 

I know we need a specific license to deploy Web IDE (Hana Cloud Platform) apps, but do we need anything specific license for Fiori Launchpad? As far as I know is a component of the UI Add-on and it should be part of the NetWeaver license itself, but I did not find any specific.

Hello,

We deliver an add-on where we want to launch our own Fiori screens from ABAP. Is it possible and if so could you point me in the right direction since I'm new to Fiori?

Viz charts don't render on the fiori app in the fiori launchpad but it shows up on a SAP UI5 application.

Browser Tab-Title of Web Dynpro and custom SAPUI5-App always "Home" if started from Launchpad

Hello Experts,

 

1.Problem

i have a Problem with Starting an Web Dynpro Applikation from Fiori Lauchpad.

It opens correctly in a PopUp and everything works fine.

 

My issue is that if i'm launching this WebDynpro from the Lauchnpad, the Browsers Tab Title is always "Home" like the Launchpad.

But i want the title of the WebDynpro Application there.

 

Do anyone know how to solve this? Thanks

 

2.Problem


This Problem is similar but different.

If i Start my SAPUI5 Custom app from the Launchpad there is the same Problem with the Browser Tab-Title. Ther is always "Home" instead of the applications title

I solved this by adding the Information "SAPUI5.Component=..." in the LPD_CUST. But if i fill this Parameter in the LPD_CUST a new issue appears.

So i have an Backgroundimage in my custom SplitApp that works fine when running standalone and from Launchpad.

 

     this.app.setBackgroundImage("Img/DSD_7043.jpg");
     this.app.setBackgroundRepeat(false);
     this.app.setBackgroundOpacity(0.8);

 

But if i add the Information "SAPUI5.Component=..." the Backgroundimage gets overwritten by the Fiori theme.

 

How can i avoid this or how can i set the Browser Tab-Title without setting the Information "SAPUI5.Component=..." in the LPD_CUST?

My Timesheet Version 2 Fiori app - Not displaying any warnings or errors

Hello experts,

 

We are implementing My Timesheet Version 2 Fiori app. The issue is that the Fiori app is not displaying any collision warnings or errors. Our Portal WD application displays multiple warnings, and hard errors to users, but the Fiori app allows all kind of entries without validating.

 

Is there a setting in the back end we have to enable to see the collision warnings\errors on this My Timesheet V2 app?

 

We are on UIHR001, SP01

 

We have looked at note: 2112485 – “Release Information Note for My Timesheet (Version 2): SAP Fiori for SAP ERP HCM 1.0” and applied all the notes mentioned for SP01.

Hub Gateway, Fiori Launchpad tile to backend SAP GUI for HTML

Background

 

I am working on an S/4HANA implementation, configuring Fiori.

 

The landscape consists of the S/4HANA backend server and a stand-alone (Hub) Gateway server.

 

Users will log in to the landscape using Business Client 6.0.

 

They need to be able to access the Fiori Launchpad (hosted on the Gateway Hub) but also the SAP GUI for HTML which is hosted on the backend S/4HANA server.

 

 

Problem/Question

 

Users need to access the Launchpad (hosted on Gateway) and Web GUI (hosted on S/4HANA) from a single Business Client log-in. They should only log-in once. SSO.

 

Ideally when they open business client and log-in to the Launchpad they would then have a tile which launched Web GUI in another tab.

 

 

Other Information/Questions

 

We do not have the SAP Web Dispatcher configured at the moment. Do we need one in order to use Gateway as the single entry point to all S/4HANA screens? If yes, why, what does it do, and what can't we do if we DON'T use it? (Any links to guides for this would be appreciated if we need to configure this)

 

At the moment the WebDynpro apps aren't working from the launchpad, but this is believed to be due  to HTTPS not being enabled on S/4HANA, and the request is attempting to call the WebDynpro URLs on S/4HANA with HTTPS (rather than HTTP). The calls are being routed via the configured type H RFC, but are not obeying the "inactive" SSL part of the RFC. Once HTTPS is enabled I'll reattempt with SSL active.

 

I followed this guide to add a tile to the luanchpad which should load a webgui transation, but instead it attempted to access web gui on teh Gateway server (it didn't re-route the request according to the configuration in teh RFC/System Alias)..

Is Mass Approval possible for Approval apps in Fiori ?

 

I see we have Mass Action field in Scenario definition . If i check it, how can we enable Mass approval in Fiori ?

What all I have done -

 

1.I have added task description for Standard task TS20000159

2. Implement BADI /IWPGW/ES_TGW_TASK_DATA and filled CV_DESCRIPTION for  'TASK_DESCRIPTION' method

    

 

Can anyone please let me know what am I missing here to see task Description/ Application data ?

Can not see MyContact in sapFiori

Hello everyone,

 

I have a question, I am really new in sap fiori, I wanted to do the configuration.

 

I found very good documentation for this, that is Fiori: technical installation and configuration of one app from A - Z and I have done the steps as mentioned.

 

Thje problem is that when I connect to my fiori and click on + assign, I can not see any MyContacts to chose!

 

can anyone help me about this?

Dynamic Tile Issue

Hello All,

 

We are  trying to create Dynamic tile in SAP Fiori but we are not able to get the tile value change dynamically . The URL we are using is

 

https://ie2b586d1cec.us1.hana.ondemand.com//PS_PKG_Warranty_Analytics/test2.xsodata/TotalSales/$count

 

when we are using this URL , we are getting total count but in the Fiori Dynamic launch pad we are getting error.

 

We tried the solution from all the SCN links and still we are facing the issue.

 

Please let us know if we have made any mistake in the URL that we are using or would there be any other way to write Odata service for Dynamic tile.

Hi Experts,

 

We are implementing FIORI My leave request application. according to the ECC data & business requirement , we don't want to display Used, Available hours information for the absence types which has quota. can we control this displaying used hours and displaying available hours in FIORI? we don't want to go for application enhancement for this.

 

Expectation: we don't want to display used and available hours in my leave request application.

Calling BDC in custom OData service from custom Fiori app

Hello experts,

 

We have developed a custom Fiori app for the invoice approval process (OpenText Vendor Invoice Management). We have built a custom OData service to fetch the invoice work items and display in the front end app and are able to do this successfully.

 

We have added footer buttons for Approve and Reject actions. On click of any of these buttons we send the details like the work item ID, invoice number, approve/reject decision and entered comments to the OData service, which in turn calls a custom RFC in the backend system to update the details for the particular work item using BDC screens. When we execute this RFC stand alone directly from backend system it runs fine, the BDC screens are called and the work item gets processed successfully. But when we try to do this from the custom Fiori app via the OData service, the RFC gets triggered successfully and executes the code but doesn't shows BDC screens and doesn't update Approve/Reject action.

 

The question that we are facing is this - is there some specific restriction on calling BDC screen in a function module via an OData service?

Can anyone let us know about this please?

No Virus Scan profile selected as default

Hi All,

 

I created a new BSP applciation in gateway server and am trying to commit source files to gateway(NGW 7.4). Am facing the error as below screenshot.

It is asking to create a default profile for Virus scan.

 

I have found the scan profile is present in : SM34 and edit the view VSCAN_PROFILE_VC.


In Some blogs people are suggesting -> Uncheck the entry "active" for profile /UI5/UI5_INFRA_APP/REP_DT_PUT

I dont think deactivating this virus scan setting is suggestable and I am sure that I dont have authorizations to deactiavte too. Please suggest me, how to create default profile for Virus scan and what are the authorizations required for this ? Who supposed to do this activity (developer/BASIS/EIS).

 

Can someone help me how to proceedfurther.

Fiori Launchpad - Merge Groups

Hello,

 

We want to replace a SAP Portal solution with a Fiori Launchpad running in SAP Gateway.

 

The SAP Portal solution relies heavily on merging roles:

 

- Portal Role A provides 'Tab 1' and under this tab 'iView A'.

- Portal Role B provides also 'Tab 1' and under this tab 'iView B'.

 

If I'm assigned to Roles A and B, then in the Portal I see 'Tab 1' and under this tab 'iView A' and 'iView B'. (I.e. I don't see two separate instances of 'Tab 1').

 

We want to replicate the same concept in the Fiori Launchpad, without changing the authorizations at high-level:

 

- ABAP Role A provides 'Group 1' and under this group 'Tile A'.

- ABAP Role B provides 'Group 1' and under this group 'Tile B'.

 

Unfortunately, if I'm assigned to ABAP Roles A and B, in the Launchpad I see two separate groups (both with the same label, 'Group 1'), one contains 'Tile A' and the other one 'Tile B'.

 

Is it possible to apply a similar merging concept in the Fiori Launchpad as it was possible in the SAP Portal?

FIORI LaunchPad Issue

Hi,

 

Can anyone please help me with this issue?

 

I have developed a sapui5 app from scratch with my webide account. It is working fine when I run the app from my account. Even it works well in Sandbox FIORI LaunchPad.

 

But the same app if I deployed to the ABAP repository, there was no issues with the deployment process. Everything seems to be good.

 

Now the issue is I am using MessageBox UI to show the user for any short info like warning message. It is defined in sap.m library.

 

When I try to run the app in FIORI LaunchPad, I am getting an error with this MessageBox..saying that this is not a function.

 

Similarly I defined the global models in manifest.json file and it looks like, I am getting an error with these models also. It is saying that  the models I have declared  in manifest.json is undefined.

 

Everything was working fine with my webide and I can run the app smoothly via my local browser.

 

I dont know what has to be done while deploying. I used webide to deploy my app. Also used SAPUI5 client build option.

Fiori on S/4 HANA - interpretting the Fiori Apps Library

Hi Fiori friends, and Fiori people at SAP,

 

Please could you help me to answer this question around Fiori apps on S/4 HANA:

 

I am looking specifically at the "Approve Purchase Orders" app in the Fiori Apps Library

 

Having selected the S/4 HANA option on a previous app (My Leave Requests v2), I now get a pop-up on PO Approvals saying "This app does not exist in SAP S/4HANA, on-premise edition":

I can see the backend component is stated as "Fiori for SAP Business Suite - Latest back-end version", and there is no drop-down here for S/4 HANA, as there is for, say, Track Supplier Invoices:

Does this mean that Approve Purchase Orders is NOT available at all on S/4 HANA? What is the reason for this please?

Custom Fiori Client for iOS + X509 Certificate + Non-SMP + Third Party MDM

Dear All,

 

Requirement:

Custom Fiori Client should be able to read the X509 Client Certificate on both iOS and Android.

This certificate is pushed by AirWatch MDM.

 

 

Problem:

iOS Device unable to read the X509 certificate through SAP Fiori Client, however, it works fine with Safari.

 

I am writing this question after reading following blogs that discuss about Custom Fiori Client and X509 Certificates for iOs and Android.

2- I cannot find any link that discuss how to handle this scenario WITHOUT SMP. Please suggest if any?

 

3- While creating Fiori client, where exactly I need to write the code that would use Auth Proxy OR Certificate Provider interface ??? I am unable to find any SCN Discussion or Blog on this.

 

A prompt response is highly appreciated as this is an urgent case.
