fiori packager

hi experts

 

I'm trying to use the fiori packager as described in

since it's is currently the only way to get a fiori launcpad like app with more than one app incorporated(?)

 

I having trouble executing the scripts as described. I keep getting this error:

 

ERROR: Problem with request for path '/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/fin_te_apv/manifest.js

on' : write EPROTO

ERROR: Problem with request for path '/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/fin_te_apv/resources.j

son' : write EPROTO

Is there some way to trace this further?


I'm trying to package only Approve Travel Expenses. I can see the manifest.json using a browser - but not the resources.json. Is this an error in the std. app?

 

Does someone have some input of it makes sense to package apps like this when I'm in the future should incorporate offline and push notifications?

FIORI App or FIORI-like App?

Hello Everyone,

 

As part of a current project in SAP ECC, there is a strong business requirement to have a new UI in place which would serve as a single point of entry for Quotes, Contracts and Order processing. By processing we mean Creation, Updation, and Viewing of Quotes, Contracts and Order transactions.

 

We are at a point in our project where we have to decide whether to go with:


Fiori Apps

In this case, we would use the FIORI framework, Launchpad and so on, to either extend an existing standard FIORI app (if one exists) or create a new one (if a standard one does not exist). So in our scenario, we would have a separate tile on the Fiori Launchpad for Quote, Contract and Order respectively.

 

OR

 

Develop a Custom Application using SAPUI5 toolkit

In this case, we won't be using the FIORI framework nor the Launchpad etc.) Instead, everything will be developed from scratch. So in our scenario, we would first develop the login screen, and then develop a SAPUI5 Screen which would contain 3 links/ buttons one for Quote, Contract and Order respectively. Each of these links will open another screen for Quote, Contract and Order processing.

 

We have been given a recommendation (which I don't agree with) to go with the latter option (Develop a custom application using SAPUI5 toolkit) with reasons as below:

a. developing an SAPUI5 app from scratch is much easier than extending or creating a Fiori app

b. development effort for both the options is almost the same with FIORI being negligibly less that a custom SAPUI5 application. So we really won't save much time nor money.

c. FIORI may not be SAP's UI with S/4 HANA and so developing a FIORI app would be throwaway work whereas a custom SAPUI5 app can still be used in the long run

 

So I wanted to get some feedback on which of the above 2 approaches (FIORI app or custom SAPUI5 application) is recommended by SAP as a best practice when it comes to UI development for SAP ERP. Furhter I would also like to know the pros and cons of using FIORI as compared to developing a custom application using SAPUI5 Toolkit.

How to bind a number in Dynamic Tile Fiori app

Hi All,

 

I have created a worklist Fiori application in webide and launched that in Fiori launch pad. For this application. I used Northwind odata service. But the tile is not displaying the number.

 

ODATA: /V3/NorthWind/northwind.svc

Fiori login w/AD credentials on Android device

Hi everybody,

 

I'm having a really weird issue with my Android device. I can login using my AD credentials on other devices, and other people can login using their credentials on my phone. When I try to login using my credentials, I get an error that says "Authentication failed using the credentials provided."

 

I tried clearing the cache in Chrome on my phone, but that didn't help.

 

Any ideas?

Certificate popup in Chrome on Android

Hi everybody,

 

When logging into the Fiori url on my laptop using Chrome, I can logon with no certificate prompt. I haven't set up anything special in Chrome for certificates. When I logon on my Android phone using Chrome, I get a popup. I have a certificate installed that I can select to use. Other people with Android phones can just click cancel to get rid of the popup. In both cases, we can logon to Fiori as expected.

 

So how do I either get rid of the certificate popup / requirement or select a certificate by default. I've found some documentation on how to assign a default certificate in Chrome that I'm going to try out, but what I'd prefer is getting rid of the prompt for a certificate entirely since it appears that it's not really needed.

Sap fiori hybrid app Service.... failed. Contact your System administrator.

Hi experts,

I've recently created a new fiori hybrid application.
So far I've installed a cloud connector, exported the fiori application from the erp system created a hybrid application enabled for push.

Mostly I followed this post :

Hybrid Mobile Extension Project - Push Notifications

The logon screen works and the application registers in hcpms.

I've been able to send the new android application to my device, the kapsel logon part works fine, but when the application starts to load I get a following error:

My hcpms configuration is ok I think because a get the ping ok:

Can't run apps from launchpad

Hello experts,

I'm a begginer with SAP Fiori Apps so I don't know if I'm missing something in the creation of my apps. I created 2 Master Detail apps in SAP WEB IDE. The first one using an OData Service from the SAP Gateway trial server and the second one, using an EDMX file as datasource. Both run perfect in SAP WEB IDE, so I deployed them to my SAP Fiori Lunchpad site (trial). When I try to run the apps from the lunchpad I'm facing the following problems:

 

1. App with OData Service Consuption:

2. App with FileData Consuption:

Kindly provide suggestion to resolve issue.

Activity not saving on iPad

A customer is having an issue saving activities on her iPad.

 

error message:

I am not to certain on what to check for...any ideas?

 

The customer is on SAP9.1, Patch 8 on HANA.

SAP Web IDE on-premise and CRM

Hi guys,

 

I'm trying to extend a SAP Fiori CRM app using SAPWebIDE and I have an issue testing it.

 

I've installed SAPWebIDE On-Premise using the document, and I've successfully Imported the app from ABAP Repository. When I try to test it, I get the error message "RFC Error: Customizing settings incomplete; contact your system administrator", but the app works just fine from the Fiori Launchpad using the same credentials.

WebIDE has defined as destination the GW system = ABAP Repository.

 

We have on premise a Fiori Launchpad, SAP Gateway, ABAP System and CRM system.

 

Any idea what is wrong?

Error on displaying team calendar in Approve Leave Request

Hello,

 

I'm getting the below error on selecting the team calendar in HCM Leave Request App.

"ZQC_FIORI_HCM_LEAVE_REQ_APPROV_SRV" service is the new service I copied from the old service.

Fiori - Purchasing Document Items - How can you restrict the selction

I have everything setup and working for Fiori Purchasing Document Items but the listing returns every PO in the system (12.3 M).  I have setup restrictions to limit by plant and purchasing group in the authorization object, but it does not seem to limit the display.

 

How can I restrict the selection?  How do I recycle/refresh the Launchpad after a security change (if this is the solution)?

FIORI Approve timesheet shows wrong data in launchpad tile

Hello Friends,


We are in NW gateway & ECC as below


SAP_BASIS    740    0007

SAP_UI    740    0009

UIX01HCM    100    0003

 

ECC

IW_BEP    200    0009

SRA002    600    0005

SRA010    600    0005


I have activated the services for both Timesheet entry & Timesheet Approval. When I logged into launchpad, I could see the 2 apps tiles in the launchpad, but, for timesheet approval it shows tile data as "32.122".


We have A002 relationship and I have done the configuration in Object & Data provider for direct employees to show it in Managers id.I could see the timesheet in the managers inbox for approval in ECC. But, in Launchpad I could see the above and tile shows in grey box.


Please find below screenshot.

Approve Timesheet doesn't load any entries

Hi Fiorians,

 

Initially we are not able to submit the time-sheet through fiori app as we are facing issue like the "submit" button is not enabled as we are able to submit the time-sheet as only draft,

 

But even the submitted draft entries are unable to find and in the front-end there is no entry also after saving as draft.

 

Re: Issue with my Fiori My Timesheet

 

Now we are trying to check the approve time-sheet app by manually making entries in the back-end and trying to approve it through the app but no entries are found against the app but getting below error in console and /iwfnd/error_log

Fiori LaunchPad: Your connection is not private

Hello,

 

We are having Fiori Launchpad configured.

When we are first hit the main page (Before Login Page) We are getting this warning.

Although we are able to bypass this issue but every time it is occurring.

 

I doubt it is issue with SSL certificate. (Http:// is having red cross).

Can anyone point out what exactly needs to be done to resolve this issue.

How to handle Multiple Login check in Fiori

I wanted to know how do we restrict a particular user id  with multi login check on Fiori Application .

My requirement is to allow only one session per user at the time to logon Fiori.

Fiori Launchpad designer error after gw_fnd sp13 update

Hi all,

 

We recently updated our gateway component gw_fnd 740 to sp13. After upgrade to sp13 we have seen that our launchpad designer

has turned blank and is not loading the catalogue.

We read Fiori Launchpad Designer - no catalogs are disp... | SCN and reinstalled our library to 1.28.25 and did the required steps of clearing cache

after which we get following error in attachment below.

we have also applied following notes as mentioned in discussions 2245413, 2241188, 2237386.

No Items are available; perform a search to add an item for My Shopping Cart

hi folks,

we are implementing the SRM Fiori apps, in this My Shopping Cart app ended with "No Items are available; perform a search to add an item" message.

I have checked in browser console no error found in that.

 

even am trying to search in Products search bar, still no data is loading in the app.

 

Can you please suggest me?
