I downloaded Sap Fiori Client 1.4.0 : the "logout functionality" works on computer, but not working on SAP FIORI APP. I try with Samsung Note III and Samsung S4.
If I run the Fiori's link on Crome Browser on mobile, logout works fine.
Do you have any suggestion?

Dear Experts,
We have made live PO and PR approval process along with attachment and note facility.
We have launch this with SAP Web dispatcher.
Application is working fine, it brings data as well,,,,when on click of attachment, url get converted to http, because of which attachment is not opening.
If I update link to https, attachment get open.
I tested with , without web dispatcher, it is working fine by direct url of Gateway PRD server, it works fine.
Also for time being,i made gateway production setting as https from smicm Tcode, when test it using direct url of gateway prd on https, it works fine.
Only with web dispatcher it gets converted to http.
Please let us know if there is any setting which I am missing in Gateway server to make it https access or it is completely handle by web dispatcher.

Hi All,
I tried to activate cost center factsheets app but was getting this error when trying to activate the Odata services. I have activated all the required search connector but still getting this error messages. I have check the backend log but only this error message I get 'Unspecified error occurred. See Error Context and Call Stack for details.' The class 'CL_COST_CENTER_MP' was missing which has caused this issues and I have tried look for sap note on this issues but unfortunately there is no note supported.
I have activated other factsheets app but was unable to activate this app. Anyone has any idea or similar experience on activating this app?

I'm trying to activate 'G/L Accounting Document' app. This is a fact sheet app and I've activate the required search model. However I faced a problem in activating the Odata service whereby this error occurs.

Need some help on KPI errors. I try to click analyze KPI details button but was getting error 'Apps cannot open' and inspect element get this error. The same error if I click Analyze DPO. Anyone get this error before?
*There are no error log recorded in transaction gateway log, backend log and no abap dump as well in ST22.

As part of a current project in SAP ECC, there is a strong business requirement to have a new UI in place which would serve as a single point of entry for Quotes, Contracts and Order processing. By processing we mean Creation, Updation, and Viewing of Quotes, Contracts and Order transactions.
We are at a point in our project where we have to decide whether to go with:
Fiori Apps
In this case, we would use the FIORI framework, Launchpad and so on, to either extend an existing standard FIORI app (if one exists) or create a new one (if a standard one does not exist). So in our scenario, we would have a separate tile on the Fiori Launchpad for Quote, Contract and Order respectively.
OR
Develop a Custom Application using SAPUI5 toolkit
In this case, we won't be using the FIORI framework nor the Launchpad etc.) Instead, everything will be developed from scratch. So in our scenario, we would first develop the login screen, and then develop a SAPUI5 Screen which would contain 3 links/ buttons one for Quote, Contract and Order respectively. Each of these links will open another screen for Quote, Contract and Order processing.
We have been given a recommendation (which I don't agree with) to go with the latter option (Develop a custom application using SAPUI5 toolkit) with reasons as below:
a. developing an SAPUI5 app from scratch is much easier than extending or creating a Fiori app
b. development effort for both the options is almost the same with FIORI being negligibly less that a custom SAPUI5 application. So we really won't save much time nor money.
c. FIORI may not be SAP's UI with S/4 HANA and so developing a FIORI app would be throwaway work whereas a custom SAPUI5 app can still be used in the long run
So I wanted to get some feedback on which of the above 2 approaches (FIORI app or custom SAPUI5 application) is recommended by SAP as a best practice when it comes to UI development for SAP ERP. Furhter I would also like to know the pros and cons of using FIORI as compared to developing a custom application using SAPUI5 Toolkit.

We are implementing SAP FIORI for HCM and have configured the Launchpad settings. However when we log in for an employee we are not able to understand from where does the data for “Qualifications & Skills” and “Performance” in People Profile comes from as it gives message that no data is maintained. Please refer screen shot attached. We have maintained data in 0024 Infotype as well however still no data is appearing.

We have installed the Fact sheet application components on our Gateway/Front end server. We have also activated and tested the search connectors on our back end system for the relevant applications. We have created a web dispatcher entry to redirect the enterprise search to back end system as per the below mentioned link :

However we are unable to figure out a simple question. How will our front end server's fiori search get redirected to the correct back-end system even though the entry in the dispatcher has been tested ?
In search of this answer we came upon this software called Fiori Client which seams to access the web dispatcher and call the appropriate system.
Thus we would like to clarify if Fiori Client is needed to access the Fact sheet applications if our landscape has a different front end server and back end server.

While trying to activate search connectors for component EAPPLH we faced an error as shown below :
Only the table Accounting Document Segment has an issue which persist in all the connectors for this component.
Even when we try to run the task list : SAP_ESH_CREATE_INDEX_SC we get the below error but are unable to trace where the issue has arised.

EDIT: I know see that we have our own attempt at SSO causing a redirect. This redirect is triggered by a custom Logon Errors page we have which attempts to provide SSO.

I am building a custom Fiori application to display files that were attached by users in DMS. While testing the service in Gateway, I am getting output as below,
As seen above, I am not able to display my PDF file in Gateway. I am only getting <RESPONSE_BODY/> in the lower right pane and lower left pane file preview which is expected is missing.
I tried with XLS & XLSX files and output is the same. No preview in Gateway.
I am converting the file uploaded in DMS (CV01N Tcode) to XSTRING & then using GET_STREAM method of DPC class, I am trying to show it gateway.
Code used is as below,
ls_stream-mime_type = 'application/pdf'. " (For Excel, I pass as 'application/msexcel')
ls_stream-value = lv_fileasxstring. " --> This is XSTRING value of uploaded file
copy_data_to_ref( EXPORTING is_data = ls_stream
CHANGING cr_data = er_stream ).
To confirm whether file to xstring conversion is correct, I added code to re-convert the xstring back to binary(original file format) and downloaded it to my desktop. This works perfectly & file contents are displayed without any issues.
I read blogs in SCN related to file attachments in Gateway & still could not resolve my issue.
Can you please tell me what I am missing.

I'm trying some of the SD Apps (for SAP ERP 6.0) and everything is working fine, but the Material number is showing only the last character of the material, like
Material Number = "123-123456"
In Fiori = "6 -"
Track Sales Order
Change Shipping Address
Create Sales Order*
*Actually when i was first trying the Create Sales Order I Had to apply the note: 2210711 because when i create a sales order from materials at the end the app show an error indicating that Material was not defined... Now only happens when i take the materials from old orders.
So i'm thinking that the problem is in some generic function that return the items of orders that all 3 apps use, but i was unable to find another note with that, or maybe i need to apply some support package or something
Anyone face this problem before?

I extended a fiori application through Web ide,it runs fine when i run the app or deploy it on HANA cloud.But when i deployed the application on gateway ABAP server,activate and test, it loads a blank screen.
Based on old fiori applications i modified the index.html file for the new application.Now the app loads but it says no data,even though the same application displays data when i run directly through web ide.
The error thrown in the console is CustomerContext: error while loading personalization service: Cannot read property 'getService' of undefined
Any inputs?

I am an absolutely beginner in the world of Fiori Apps and need help by implementing the Smart Business KPI Components.
Due to the following Documentation I added KPIs, by choosing the "Add KPI" App on my Fiori Launchpad.
Adding an Evaluation to a KPI - SAP Smart Business, Component for KPI Modeling - SAP Library
To make a KPI visible to the user at runtime, I must create an evaluation and a visualization.
Now the problem appears:
When I choose the Application "Create Evaluation" a Popup appears with an message "App cannot be opened. Please try again later". I found a second possibility to create an Evaluation by Using the App "KPI Workspace" and than coosing the Button "create Evaluation" in the Detail view of KPI. Here the same Error Pop-up.
(sorry it's in german)
Does anyone know something about this problem?
Is there any further installation needed to run this app or can I chance some settings to get this evaluation done?
