Hello guys!
Problem is that we can't anymore run Launchpad or our UI5 apps in FI language in our Test system. However, we can still do so in our Dev system.
- Our custom UI5 apps have both EN and FI text resource files in the i18n folder of each app.
- In Dev system we can see EN or FI texts depending on the browser language but in Test system it only shows EN for LPD and apps.
- In Test system we can't force the use of finnish language with the url parameter sap-language=fi. In Dev system this works too.
- We have not translated anything in SE63, we use only default Launchpad translations by SAP and our i18n files for each custom app.
On top of that, until last week the FI language was shown correctly also in Test system! Have we done some changes? Yes we have, but NOT in Test system, at least not deliberately! 
There are two notable differences between the Dev and Test systems (at least what I can see):
- In Dev our basis team upgraded UI Add-on to SP14 and SAPUI5 1.28.27. In Test we are still (temporarily) on SP13 and SAPUI5 1.28.23. Of course we will upgrade also Test system soon, but how could this be the cause because the problem never existed in Dev before (or after) the upgrades!
- After the above upgrade I had to transport one of our LPD_CUST roles from Dev to Test. I would have wanted to wait until upgrade was done in both systems but the fix was needed. Anyway, that seemed to go through OK.
- We can logon to Dev system using FI language but not to Test system. In the Test system the language U (finnish) is not in the list of installed languages in the profile parameter: zcsa/installed_languages. I'm not familiar with the deeper technical requirements for Fiori languages, but could this have any effect? Is the logon possibility using a certain language necessary in order to use that language in Launchpad?
